Responsible for the way the magazine looked, I presented the words and images in a way that was easy for the reader to digest, with high visual impact. In the highly competitive consumer magazine market, my role was essential to the success of the publication. The magazine’s cover in particular, always looked distinctive, to attract potential readers. Strong skills in Photoshop and InDesign software were important to this role as was attention to detail, good communication skills with the editor, problem solving issues of compiling a magazine which involved designing over 50% of the adverts, and hitting the print deadline were imperative to this role.
